Suffolk GOP to Nominate Ed Romaine for County Executive at Annual Convention

RONKONKOMA, NY – Suffolk GOP Chairman Jesse Garcia will nominate Ed Romaine as the Republican candidate for County Executive tonight at the Suffolk Republican Committee’s annual convention at the Ronkonkoma Courtyard by Marriott.  Romaine’s nomination is expected to be seconded by all 10 of the Republican Town Chairs from across the county, and supported unanimously by the members of the Suffolk Republican Committee. 

“Suffolk County needs a proven leader with a clear vision for our future.  Ed Romaine has an unparalleled record of accomplishments for fighting for our residents.  He strengthened government finances while holding the line on taxes, implemented innovative technology to provide cost effective government, and maintained our quality of life by aggressively prosecuting problem landlords,” said Garcia.  “As our Suffolk County Executive, Ed Romaine take on the problems of long-term fiscal distress, give our police the tools they need to combat crime, and support economic development for our local businesses while insuring the protection of our environment and drinking water.”
