Statement by Chairman Jesse Garcia

"While George Santos does not represent any portion of Suffolk County, he has disgraced himself through his actions and in no way represents the principles and ideals of the Republican Party. This is why I have agreed with Nassau Chairman Cairo that Santos has lost the public’s trust, and is unfit for office.

“One of the most precious rights US citizens have is the right to vote, and every day George Santos remains in office is another insult to the voters and the House of Representatives.

“Nevertheless, like all Americans, he deserves his day in court, and we have full faith in our judicial system that justice will be served.”
