Noose in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s garage

The placing of a noose in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s garage is a heinous and cowardly act.

It’s been more than half a century since Republicans in Congress worked across the aisle with President Lyndon Johnson to pass the  historic Civil Rights Act of 1964.

We need to work together, despite party registration, once again to say unequivocally that there is no place in America for hate crimes like this.

We support the investigation into this matter by NASCAR and the Justice Department, and urge the strongest punishment possible for those who are found responsible.
